Botswana to host aviation experts

  • For the first time ever Botswana will be hosting the annual Aviation & Allied Business Leadership conference in August.

    Botswana government together with generous donors in the industry will be sponsoring the 16th edition of this monumental event.

    According to a statement from Aviation & Allied Business Publications the conference will look at issues of airline management and turnaround strategies, airports enhancement and infrastructure renewal, building.

    The platform allows practitioners, affiliates and leaders of airlines in Africa to come together to deliberate on issues of policy and socio-economic consequences on the African airline industry.

    Speaking ahead of the conference Edward Boyo Publisher of Aviation & Allied Business expressed optimism in the airline business in Africa, despite the occurrence of recent punch of the recession.

    According to Boyo, “the economic downturn which affected the industry adversely since 2008 is wearing out though its impact remains in Africa.”

    Full attendance of senior executives of airline, airports, civil aviation authorities, aircrafts and engine manufactures, legal and financial institutions and others are expected to grace the event and answer uncertainties within the industry.

    “We look forward to working with our partners to come out with implementation resolutions as well as deliver once again a conference that accelerates air transport growth in Africa” said Edward Boyo.

    This year’s theme is ‘Air Transport in Africa: The challenge of leadership’.
