Botswana Confederation of Commerce, Industry and Manpower (BOCCIM), the voice that lobbies for the business community will next Wednesday hold an annual general meeting to iron out issues within the confederation.

The 38^th annual general meeting will be held in Gaborone under the banner ‘Progress of the Training Levy’ where Abel Modungwa executive director of Botswana Training Authority (BOTA) is expected to speak to the topic, according to a communiqué syndicated to media.

“We are expecting approximately hundred people, normally it’s plus or minus fifty,” said the BOCCIM corporate communications manager Komissa Burzlaff.

Burzlaff cited that they are looking forward to have the presentation of strategic plan, their accomplishment, launch BOCCIM website and announce the 2010/2011 BOCCIM council.

“Like we did last year, we are likely to see changes of presidential position, we are determined to elect the Vice President from the Northern Region,” confirmed Burzlaff.

BOCCIM is a non-profit business member organization, established in 1971 and recorded under the Trade Unions and Employer’s Organizations Act of 1983. And represents the curiosity of private sectors and the Government distinguishes it as the foremost voice of private sectors.
